ABOUT Eddie & Vinnie
By Jenny Millinger
Commissioned by Magik Theatre
Sponsored by Archpoint.
At its heart, Eddie & Vinnie is a buddy comedy about Eddie, a young boy with dyslexia, and his best friend/trusty sidekick, a quick-witted gecko named Vinnie. Eddie struggles with his schoolwork and faces the possibility of going to summer school if he can’t get his grades up. In a last-ditch effort to get on the honor roll, Eddie teams up with the overly helpful new girl in class to write their end-of-year report. It seems like Vinnie is always there to distract him or, is she really challenging him to lean into his uniquely beautiful mind?

Can I book a show for something other than a school?
Yes, our performances also make great entertainment at special events.
Do we need to have a stage?
No, but a 25′ x 25′ stage/space is preferred to allow a seamless experience for sets and actors! We can always adapt to meet your request. Give us a call at (210) 227-2751 so we can help bring our show to you.
Indoor or outdoor?
Both! Magik Theatre can perform outdoors (weather-permitting) on a covered, hard-level surface. For indoor settings (due to large sets and equipment), we recommend the performance location to be on the first floor of the building. If not, elevators must accommodate our set pieces.
Please note that a changing area/space must be provided for the actors.
Do you require any equipment?
We will bring all of our own equipment with easy access to a standard electrical outlet.
